NSRFC GYM – COVID-19 Re-opening Conditions - 3 DEC 2021
This policy has been formulated by the North Shore Rugby Club (NSRFC) committee with a view to reopening the gym for the benefit of the local community. It follows release of the COVID Protection Framework by the NZ government which mandates the possession of vaccine passes by gym users. The policy encompasses all areas of the NSRFC gym complex including changing rooms and toilets and is applicable to gym members, independent contractors and other permitted visitors aged over 12 years and 3 months. Entry by these individuals will be conditional on:
1.Verification of your vaccination status via My Vaccine Pass with the NZ Verifier App, either electronic or paper copy. Nb. Verification options are visiting the club rooms on weekdays (other than Weds) between 10 & 1pm, presenting your pass at a training night or e-mailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org
2.Agreeing to the club keeping details of the pass on either the relevant Member’s profile in Sporty, or other non-member record, as appropriate. Please note that no personal information will be stored except for the validity and expiry date of the vaccine Pass.
All memberships will be suspended until evidence of a vaccine pass is provided. No casual users of the gym will be permitted until traffic light levels permit and the committee are able to manage this option within the above parameters. The safety of our membership is our key concern and, as NSRFC does not have any permanent on-site staff, ad hoc verification of vaccine Passes is not possible.
We also require hygiene protocols to be adhered to which will be displayed on the premises and include; maintaining 1m social spacing, wearing a mask when not exercising, bringing your own towel, disinfecting all contact surfaces and using sanitizer provided.
Given the evolving nature of COVID-19 and the Governments’ responses and policies towards managing the pandemic the committee will keep this policy under review and update it as required.Should these rules be broken both Dean Rice¸ training manager, and Paul Cornish, club manager, have the authority to close the gym to all users.
This policy comes into effect on 3 December 2021
I certify that the above Policy was approved by the NSRFC Committee through an on-line resolution on 2nd December 2021.
